During my time at Ritzy Animation, I collaborated with Monkey Kingdom production studio to create a series of episodic music videos for MC Grammar. MC Grammar, a former teacher turned rapper, focuses on teaching children English and grammar through energetic rap music videos.



The brief was to create a fun, animated music video series complementing MC Grammar's new song series. Conceived towards the end of the pandemic, the project aimed to encourage children to be active and dance along to the music.

As a junior motion designer, my responsibilities included working with the director and senior motion designer, creating themed characters and assets using Illustrator and Photoshop, animating with After Effects, and keying raw green-screen footage provided by Monkey Kingdom.

The final product, the "Event Raps" series, premiered on Sky Kids. Each episode covered different holidays or annual events with distinct art styles. We emphasized MC Grammar's dance moves, which were simple for children to follow. By animating characters and text interacting with MC Grammar, we aimed to create an immersive experience that encouraged children to participate.

The varying art styles gave each episode a unique feel, matching both the music genre and subject matter of MC Grammar's performances.
